We admit, we might be crazy by doing this.......but here's the deal. Over the last two weeks, we have been slowly upgrading our website, and on Sunday, we finally rolled it out to the public.
That means now, when you go to MJM Magic, you are viewing the new (and hopefully improved) website.
We have been finding little bugs and things we missed over the last 24 hours, and we THINK we corrected everything.
BUT........In order to really test it out though, we want to encourage everyone to purchase something.....anything. This will help us to evaluate how the new site is working and identify any unseen errors or bugs that we may have missed.

Here are a few of the new and improved things on the MJM Magic website:
1. Better Search Feature
Just hit the little Magnifying Glass at the top of our website and type whatever you're looking for. The search results should be must faster and more robust than our old system. This is one of our favorite new additions!
2. Better Website Layout
When you are exploring a product's page, the layout should be larger and easier to see on both computer and mobile devices. We removed a lot of the sidebox menus and used that extra space for the product information.
We also currently display three products side-by-side when browsing things like our New Items or Categories:
3. Better Additional Image Loading
On product pages with additional images, they are now conveniently loaded in a separate window (instead of clogging up the website with tiny thumbnail images).
4. (Hopefully) Better Checkout Experience
We allow for both Registered Users as well as Guests to checkout (meaning you don't need an account if you don't want to). We also have a one-page checkout so everything is on a single page for quick purchasing.
We cleaned up a lot of the coding behind the checkout, and while it may look the same as before, hopefully we made things more stable for users who previously had checkout issues.
5. Better MENU Placement
Now, on computers or non-mobile devices, the menu to login, checkout, or access downloads will be LOCKED on top of your screen. This makes it easy to always find, and super easy to login and checkout when ready.
THINGS WE REMOVED OR STILL NEED TO ADD
- For the time being, we removed the "Save For Later" shopping cart for a cleaner website design. However, we are looking to hopefully implement a new WISHLIST feature in the future, which would operate the same way (allowing you to save items you're interested in, and email the list out to others). If you need to know what items you had saved under your old "Save For Later" shopping cart, just Contact Us and we can email you that information for your reference in case you want those moved into your actual shopping cart.
- We also removed the ability to indefinitely save items in your shopping cart UNLESS YOU'RE LOGGED IN. This just makes sense......Most other commercial websites don't "save" your shopping cart unless you are logged into your account. If you don't log in within a certain amount of time, the cart will be erased for security reasons.
This change might upset some people who were used to always having their cart remember what they added into it......but just know, IT WILL STILL DO THAT as long as you first log into your account. That's the benefit of creating an account, so that your shopping cart can be remembered for future purchases. Without an account, your cart will be deleted after a certain amount of time.
Bottom line: we recommend you always log into your account when visiting or adding items to your shopping cart. If logged in, those items will stay there forever until you're ready to purchase them. If not logged in, those items will disappear because there is no account to save them to.
- TO-DO: We still need to add the Testimonials back (which allows people to leave us personal testimonials about our service, you know, to help pat us on the back and tell others about it)! That will be coming back again but it's not a huge priority for us at this time.
