Animate the portrait in the frame and reveal any spectator's thought.
Here's what happens:
Have a spectator choose a card. You inform them that it’s not you, but Harry Houdini who will be finding their card. Just then, the portrait begins to move. His arm, once tucked into his jacket begins to move and reveals that he is holding a card. It doesn’t match your spectator’s choice, though. Then, you wave your hand over the picture, and the card instantly changes to your spectator’s, somehow apparently trapped beneath the glass.

The routine is completely customizable. Houdini will hold whatever you want him to. A lawyer calls a plumber for help...
