Better off red
Armed with six cards, numbered 1 through 6, you approach an eager spectator. Placing an envelope on the table, you explain that you've written a prediction of what card they choose. This is Red Prediction by Daryl.
You give them a free choice of numbers 1-6, let's say they pick 4. You reveal their prediction. "You will pick the RED card."
Now, show the backs of the remaining 5 cards. All are black. Then you flip over the 4 to reveal it is the only card with a red back!

You've heard of the linking rings, but have you heard of the linking springs? Sure, the rings might be more iconic, but I think you'll see this is an improvement in every way.
spRing by Joonas Mengel is linking rings routine where one ring is replaced by a metal spring. It exists as something between a magic trick and a puzzle. What that means in practice is that you're using props that can be examined at every step of the presentation. You can even hand out the linked spring and ring mid-performance.
After your spectator has verified that the two are intrinsically linked, you have them melt back apart.
