The Savant Deck was designed by Craig Petty and Lloyd Barnes with one idea in mind: make the performer feel like they have superpowers. A week after its release, it's safe to say they succeeded.
In one effect, a spectator shuffles and cuts a deck. They take the cards they cut off and spread them face up on the table. You turn to peek at them for a split second, but that's all you'll need. Immediately, you tell them the sum of every card's value on the table.
Or have an audience member take the deck and shuffle it as much as they want under the table. They take a card and hide it in their pocket. The rest of the cards are returned back to the box. Instantly you know the exact identity of their card.
