You introduce a matchbox and three washers--familiar items that might all get lost in the junk drawer--and you explain how even with these discarded possessions, you can perform miracles.
Three washers go in the matchbox before it's closed. Two come out. The third has teleported to your hand. You repeat the process. Two washers go in. One comes out. Once again, you find yourself holding another washer!
Can you reverse the process? Of course! You place one washer in the box and close it. You place two washers in your hand, but when you place them on the table, there's only one. Opening the box again, and two washers come out.
Perform your finale in your spectator's hands. Place two washers in their hand, and place the third in your pocket.
Three things happen. The washer vanishes from your pocket, it appears in their hands, and finally the previously empty matchbox is now full of matches!

JUST FOR LAUGHS:
One day, the captain of a navy vessel is on the bridge when the bosun enters and asks to use the PA system.
The captain agrees, so the bosun gets on the PA and barks out, "Attention seaman first class Johnson! Your mother is dead!! That is all!"
The Captain is mortified and grabs hold of the boson. “What the hell is the matter with you man!?! That was downright cruel! The next time you get horrible news like that, you need to be a lot more sensitive to the crew! You simply cannot be that blunt!”
The bosun looks perplexed but responds, “Aye aye captain!” and leaves the bridge.
A few weeks later, the bosun returns to the bridge and asks to use the PA system. The captain agrees, so the bosun announces over the loud speaker, “Now hear this! All able bodied seamen: assemble on deck IMMEDIATELY and form up in a line!! That is all!”
As the bosun exits, the curious, captain leans out of the bridge window to hear what’s going on.
Down below on deck, the bosun barks an order to everyone: “Listen up. All men whose mothers are still alive, take one step forward! NOT SO FAST, ABERNATHY!!!”
