One tuck case. One impossible act
Joel Dickinson had a humble dream. Perfection. He wanted a routine that looked great to the audience, felt fun to perform, and was completely impossible. And that's what Break Thru is. Perfection.
Break Thru is Joel's take on an impossible penetration. You may be familiar with this type of plot: a sharp object, maybe a needle or pen knife is stabbed through a tuck case. It's passed all the way through. But at the end, the magician reveals that a solid object has been inside the tuck the whole time.

Joel makes some tweaks and innovations to this routine that really set Break Thru apart from the competition. Instead of just a single needle, he threads an entire ribbon directly through the deck box. This visual pops and makes the revelation even more baffling.
Our favorite part of Break Thru is that the acrylic block, the solid object inside the deck, can be completely examined. There is no gimmick to be found.
There aren't many trick that offer this level of intrigue and impossibility that you can basically perform out of the box. The gimmick does all the work for you, meaning this professional trick is accessible even for the most amateur performer.

Since taking up magic, you may have noticed that people are far less likely to want to play cards with you. Get ready to prove them right!
Nick Trost's Super Showdown is here to make you look like the magical card shark all your friends already think you are. This self-working, 4-phase routine is sure to get you permanently banned from any casino. Cue the Ocean's 11 music, because here's the plan:
Phase 1.
You're going to be dealing five poker hands. Four will go to your spectators. One will go to you. Despite random dealing, your hand easily beats everyone else's.
Phase 2.
You once again deal five hands. This time, though, you let each spectator decide whether they want to switch with your hand. At the end, they all look at their hands, and they are solid poker hands. Unfortunately, yours is still better!
Phase 3.
You agree to go head-to-head with one spectator. You deal cards one by one and let them choose which cards go to you and which go to them. You flip over both hands and you still win!
Phase 4.
The final phase feels the most fair yet. Still dealing to one spectator, you two piles of cards, some are face up and some are face down. You give them the opportunity to trade their face up cards for your face up cards and their face down cards for yours. Even though your spectator could literally see most of the cards they were selecting, you still end up with the better hand!
