MJM Magic Update: Your Downloads Access now even EASIER!

We hope you all had a great weekend.   I ended up putting in a lot of time to make a huge improvement to our website, and specifically, the way you can access your purchased downloads.

You see, in the past, whenever you purchased a download, the company who streams it to your account provided you with a SEPARATE PASSWORD to access it.

This led to a lot of confusion, because our customers now had to juggle two different passwords.   One was to SHOP with their account, and the other was to ACCESS their downloads.

WE NEVER LIKED THAT.......but we really didn't have any other option.   We had to deal with it.

Until now.  :)

I worked all weekend, and I think I have come up with a better solution for you guys.   Let me know what you think:

1.   You no longer need TWO passwords for anything on our website.  The only password that you use is the one to log into your customer account!

2.  To access your download purchases, you simply would log into your customer account first (as you normally would to shop), and then head to the new Downloads Access page: http://www.mjmmagic.com/store/page_2.html.   It will automatically display your downloads whenever you're logged in!

(If you try to access the downloads without being logged in, it will simply tell you to log in first.)

After you log in and go back, your downloads will be displayed automatically.

It's not a perfect workflow, and I may need to tweak it a bit, but I think it's VASTLY IMPROVED over how it used to be.

Of course, that WOULD be impossible.......and you show that it didn't happen.   The signature is not on top of the Post-It Note packet.    But you do even one better: the signature is now IN THE MIDDLE of the packet!

MIND BLOWN!   There is no way the signature could have gotten there unless you're a dark wizard!

You then make the signature jump back out from the middle of the packet and reappear ON TOP of the packet!

I used to be in a band called "Tip Toe".   You probably never heard us before.

"One Trick, Six Cards, Three Killer Climaxes! Check this out!"

What's better than performing a miracle with only six cards?   How about performing THREE MIRACLES with them!

This one is really good!   Here's what happens.

The spectator randomly chooses SIX cards from the deck, and out of those six, she remembers ONE of them.  

You then mix them three face up, and three face down, in alternating fashion.

Now VERY SLOWLY.......NO FUNNY MOVES......you square up the packet......give it a magical twist, and all the cards turn face down EXCEPT FOR HER CARD!

That's Climax #1!

You then take her card and show that it has miraculously changed colors! 

That's Climax #2!!

And for the killer conclusion, you tell her that you'll make the other cards disappear.........and then you turn over the remaining 5 cards to show that they are all BLANK FACE CARDS!

That's Climax #3!!!

This is such an EASY trick to perform, ANYONE CAN DO IT!

One of the card tricks I learned as a kid was the "Spell Your Card" trick.   However, the version I learned required me to handle the deck AFTER the spectator named their card.

NOT THIS ONE THOUGH!

The deck is spread and the spectator simply THINKS of a card.   They don't say it out loud.

The SPECTATOR then cuts the deck themselves a few times.   Remember, you don't know what card they are thinking of, and THEY don't know where the card now lies in the deck.

And yet, when they spell out the name of their card, their card will be the last card they deal to!

YES, THEY DO THE DEALING!  You never touch the deck!

Feeling hungry, they pull out the sandwiches that their wives had lovingly made for them.

The bartender, noticing this, quickly comes over and says "You can't eat your own food in here!"

So they swapped sandwiches.

"This looks absolutely impossible!"

What's great about this trick is that it's DIFFERENT.   It involves money, but it's not your standard money trick ("Hey look, the bill changed to something else, etc.")

Check this out.  You take two bills out of your wallet: a $1.00 and a $5.00 bill.

You hand the $1.00 to the spectator to hold.   And in a SPLIT SECOND, you cause the number FIVE from your bill to PRINT onto the $1.00 bill!

Not only is it printed on there.....but the number FIVE is completely GONE from the $5.00 bill!

A woman is sitting beside a businessman on an airplane.  The businessman is quite bored, so he tries to get the woman to play a game with him.

"Let's play a game. We take turns asking questions. If I can't answer one of yours, I'll pay you $5 bucks, but if you can't answer one of mine, then you'll give me $5 bucks."

The woman ignores him and tries to sleep.

"Okay, how about if I lose I give you $100 dollars, and you only give me $5."

Again, the woman declines.

"Okay, okay, how about I give you $1000 dollars if I lose?"

The woman, finally had enough, agrees. The businessman goes first. "What's the circumference of the sun?"

The woman doesn't know and pays him $5 dollars. Then she asks the businessman "What has 6 legs, goes up a hill with 10 legs, and comes down with 5 legs?"

The businessman realizes he has NO CLUE of the answer, and he would have to pay up. He searches it up on google, asks everyone on the plane, and calls all his friends, but no one knew the answer.
At last, he reluctantly pays the woman $1000 dollars. The woman, satisfied, goes back to sleep.

The businessman taps her shoulder. "I have one last question. What was the answer?"

The woman sighs and takes out $5 dollars.

"It's time to get NAKED and STRANGE!"

One of my favorite (and no longer available) effects was "Strange Travelers", performed by David Blaine.

Here's a version of that trick which you can DOWNLOAD today, and it uses a regular deck of cards (no gimmicks)!

In case you aren't familiar with the effect:

• Spectator #1 simply LOOKS at a card from a group of cards.   She doesn't say what the card is.   She simply LOOKS at one mentally from a bunch of cards.
• Spectator #2 is handed those cards to hold onto.   The cards are counted to show that there are only ten cards in that packet. 
• Spectator #1 is given a separate group of cards to hold.
• With a magical gesture, Spectator #2 counts her cards, and suddenly one is missing!  That's right.....there are no longer ten cards in her hand.  She only holds nine.
• The one card that's missing happens to be the one that Spectator #1 was merely thinking of!   Remember, she never mentioned what the card was: it's just gone!
• Spectator #1 then turns over the packet she was holding to find that her card magically traveled over to it!

This is a great effect that involves TWO people, which is always a BONUS when performing (to get as many people involved as possible!
